The Project:

I recently have been given a Custom Craft kit boat from a family friend to restore.  The boat needs a lot of work, but I am hoping to get started this spring and see if the restoration will be feasible.  The kit was purchased in 1947, and the build was completed in 1952.  I am told, that at that time, it was the fastest boat on Flagstaff lake, Maine.  I would love to one day have this boat on the water again.

If anyone has any info on Custom Craft Packaged Kits from this time period, I would greatly appreciate any information.

Best Regards,

It looks almost identical to my 1954 Custom Craft Model BP-29-D 14' Seaworthy Runabout.
I will try to post som pictures soon.
Good luck

Good luck on your restoration.
I have the identical kit boat, as you can see from my pictures. I'll have to post a picture with the original Sea Bee motor, which I now have working again.
